La Ford Taunus 17M… sous cette appellation, bon nombre de passionnés d’automobiles anciennes, en général, et de Taunus en particulier, sont formels : “La 17M, on la connaît !” En effet, beaucoup d’esprits ont été marqués par ce modèle aux formes révolutionnaires, la célèbre “ligne de raison” développée par Ford à partir de 1960.
Affectueusement surnommée “la baignoire”, la 17M (P3) conçue à Cologne fut unanimement saluée par la presse spécialisée de l’époque par ses formes galbées tout en rondeur. Cette 17M rencontra un vif succès commercial en France, étant la voiture étrangère de sa catégorie la plus importée en 1961, contribuant au renforcement de l’implantation Ford sur notre territoire national.
