Il volume è un vero e proprio catalogo fotografico, per la maggior parte a colori, in cui l’autore passa in rassegna una straordinaria quantità di modelli; da quelli più rari e ricercati, fabbricati in pochi esemplari nella prima metà del secolo scorso a quelli prodotti in grande serie negli ultimi anni. Un elenco sistematico e alfabetico, completo di prezzi e quotazioni (valore dei modelli espresso in Dollari americani), correda l’opera, conferendo al volume il valore di indispensabile strumento di consultazione e confronto per tutti i collezionisti. I modelli di ditte italiane che producono pezzi in Cina son stati volutamente omessi in quanto non sono modelli prodotti in Italia.
