La sua storia si snoda in queste pagine, condite di foto inedite, attraverso un’intervista “particolare”, un discorso fra persone che si conoscono da sempre. L’autore Walter Consonni è nato e cresciuto nel mito dei fratelli Brambilla e anche lui, così come il fratello Peo, il pupillo di Tino, ha vissuto dal cortile di casa nel centro di Monza una vicenda umana e sportiva unica. Gare, prove, titoli, tragedie, MvAgusta e la Ferrari, l’ascesa del fratello Vittorio. Il ritiro dalle piste ma non dalle goliardate. Ma c’è molto altro in questo libro dove un uomo giunto al traguardo, parziale, degli ottanta, si guarda indietro e rivive con soddisfazione e serenità un’epoca unica. Dove correre poteva anche essere morire, ma soprattutto vincere.
