WILLIAM BILL BODDY
Montlhery - The Story Of The Paris Autodrome
By William 'Bill' Boody MBE
Built during 1924, Monthlhery was the brainchild of Alexandre Lamblin, and soon became the home of French motor racing, with several major races occurring there each year including, on a number of occasions, the French GP. Revived after WWII, the track gradually faded from the international scene as a result of a series of accidents in the late 1950's, including those which claimed the lives of Guy Mairesse and Louis Rosier.
