RANGE ROVER GOLD PORTFOLIO 1970-1985

When conceived this vehicle had no particular purpose but once in the hands of the public it was not long before there were waiting lists. Little effort was put into developing the car and it sold purely on, and in spite of, it’s reputation. Its character was enough to keep it going until a four-door model was introduced in 1981 and from then on it was improved. After 15 years it was still recognisable as the same vehicle but it had been developed far beyond what its original designers had anticipated. This is a book of contemporary road tests, specification and technical data, new model introductions, long-term tests, driver’s impressions, off roading, rallying, conversions, military applications, buyer’s choice. Models covered include: V8, 4-door, Schuler, Automatic, Vogue, Janspeed. 172 pages, 400 illus. SB
