Jamais un constructeur n’aura autant marqué l’"Histoire Automobile" de son empreinte. Légende vivante, ROLLS-ROYCE est la marque mythique qui, depuis un siècle, traverse toutes les modes, sans prendre une quelconque ride. Modèle emblématique après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, la Silver Cloud s’est déclinée en trois versions pendant une décennie. Quelques carrossiers prestigieux ont également tenté des études de style avec plus ou moins de bonheur. Cet ouvrage les répertorie avec précision, ainsi que les caractéristiques techniques de chaque version.

L’auteur
Michel LENEVEU, pour réaliser son livre, a rencontré John P. Blatchley, aujourd'hui âgé de 91 ans, chef du bureau de design de 1945 à 1970, et qui est le créateur de la Silver Cloud. L'auteur aborde avec soin et détails chacun des modèles illustrés de photos actuelles et d'époque inédites pour la plupart. Agé de 54 ans, il s'est littéralement voué d'une passion rare, car unique, pour ces automobiles d'une autre époque.
