Auteur de trois ouvrages déjà publiés chez ETAI « Pilotes Citroën, champions de légende », « la Simca 1100 de mon père » et « la Citroën BX de mon père », Vincent Roussel, journaliste et historien de l'automobile, collaborateur dans de nombreuses revues spécialisées, publie son nouveau livre « Subaru Impreza, La Vague Bleue », en mémoire de son ami Hervé Bouchot qui n'aura pas le temps de mener à bien l'écriture de cet ouvrage.
D’ailleurs, il s’associe à Annick Bouchot pour mener à bien l’écriture de l’ouvrage.

Lancé pour la première fois en 1992, la Subaru Impreza est donc un modèle automobile compact, appartenant au constructeur japonais Subaru.
Au fil des années, la Subaru Impreza acquiert une renommée mondiale grâce à ses succès aux championnats du monde de rallye et devient une véritable icône de la marque japonaise et la référence des berlines sportives, dès l'introduction de la 2.0 GT Turbo.

La firme japonaise en est à sa quatrième génération de sa Subaru Impreza, après l’apparition de la première génération de 1993 à 2001 (GT Turbo, 22B P1 et S201), la deuxième génération de 2001 à 2007 (les WRX STi type Europe, les séries limitées et la Saab 9-2X) mais également la troisième génération de 2007 à nos jours (les WRX STi type Europe et les séries limitées).

La Subaru Impreza a été brillamment conduite par les plus grands pilotes automobiles au monde (Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Mikko Hirvonen, Tommi Mäkinen, Juha Kankkunen, Kenneth Eriksson, Richard Burns, Petter Solberg...) et s'est forgée un grand palmarès enviable, en remportant à trois reprises le titre de champion du monde des constructeurs (1995, 1996 et 1997), mais également les titres de championne du monde « pilotes » (1995 avec Colin McRae, 2001 avec Richard Burns et 2003 avec Petter Solberg).
