The Triumph Bonneville is a design classic. Revered by thousands of owners and tnthusiasts across Europe, the United States and Japan, the "Bonnie" epitomised British style andskill in the motorcycle world. Named after the famous salt flats in Utah where a streamlined Thunderbird recorded an unofficial speed record of 214 mph in 1956, the 1959 Bonneville went on to become a successful race machine and a "cafe racer" in a class of its own. Despite its obvious charm and appeal, the Bonneville was destined to become a vistim of the British motorcycle industry´s collapse un the 1970s, though it survived until 1988.
